Kyle MacLachlan reprises his role as FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper for the 18-part limited event series Twin Peaks, a continuation of the original series Twin Peaks, which aired from 1990 to 1991. scheduled to have a two-part premiere this spring, on SHOWTIME.
Directed entirely by David Lynch, the new TV shows picks up 25 years after the inhabitants of Twin Peaks were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. FBI Agent Cooper came to town to investigate the case and, as he began to dig into the young girl’s death, dark secrets were gradually exposed, plunging the inhabitants to examine their existence.
The cast ensemble includes also Mädchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Catherine E. Coulson, Richard Beymer, David Duchovny, Sherilyn Fenn, Miguel Ferrer, Warren Frost, Andrea Hays, Michael Horse, David Lynch, Sheryl Lee, James Marshall and others.
The new series is set to premiere on May 21, on SHOWTIME.
