ITV has released the trailer for the upcoming drama series Prime Suspect: 1973, scheduled to premiere this spring.
The new TV show, which is a prequel of the original Prime Suspect, follows the young detective chief inspector Jane Tennison as she navigates through her first days in the police force, enduring flagrant sexism, and dealing with a murder enquiry.
The cast includes Stefanie Martini in the leading role, Sam Reid, Blake Harrison, Joshua Hill, Alun Armstrong, Clive De-Halton Gibson, and others.
The song used in the trailer is a cover of “One Way or Another”, the 1979 single of American new wave band Blondie, from its “Parallel Lines” album.
