HBO Series: Silicon Valley – Season 5 (Trailer Song)
The Pied Piper gang returns March 25 at 10pm on HBO. The TV channel has released the official trailer for the fifth season of its hit comedy series Silicon Valley, giving viewers a glimpse into what’s coming in the new episodes.
The trailer opens with Thomas Middleditch’s character, Richard Hendricks, the founder of Pied Piper, in the hospital, being told by a doctor that he has been in a coma for four years. The latter then reveals he’s just joking around and, after asking him if he sold his sense of humor, tells him the truth: he has been out for about six hours and he lost a whole lot of blood. He keeps joking, adding “I just hope they put the right kind back in.” Next, Middleditch is seen telling a woman they are taking a total engineering team of about 50 and being asked by Martin Starr’s character, Bertram Gilfoyle, if he wants to staff their company with “a bunch of randos” they’ve never met. Hendricks must also deal with his fellows’ reproaches, apparently. Gilfoyle tells him, in one of the scenes, “Your inability to stop us from sucking is a failure of leadership”.
Another scene reveals that Hendricks waived the company’s “No Dog” policy, which led to a bunch of dogs barking, walking around and peeing at corners. “Dogs are not pets, okay? They’re vicious beasts,” Kumail Nanjiani’s character, Dinesh, tells him.
The song used in the trailer is the 2017 single “No Limit” by American rapper G-Eazy, featuring rappers ASAP Rocky and Cardi B, from G-Eazy’s fifth studio album, “The Beautiful & Damned”.
