All Eyez On Me (2017 Movie)
A second teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming biographical drama film All Eyez on Me, about the life of rapper Tupac Shakur.
The biopic directed by Benny Boom, whose name comes from 2Pac’s fourth studio album and the last one to be released during his lifetime, chronicles the rapper’s life and career, including his time at Death Row Records and his involvement in the rivalry between East Coast and West Coast rappers, until his fatal shooting in Las Vegas, in 1996. The leading role is played by Demetrius Shipp, Jr., with Danai Gurira, Kat Graham, Jamal Woolard, Stefon Washington, Grace Gibson, Lauren Cohan, and many others co-starring.
The promo starts with a crowd shouting 2Pac’s name and continues with scenes from his childhood and teenage years, until his adult life, when he becomes the famous rapper, cheered by thousands of people. “They are going to give you the tools that you need to destroy yourself”, says a woman’s voice, while on the screen images of Tupac’s life are shown.
“Artist. Poet. Revolutionary. Greatest of all time” – is the message conveyed in the teaser, ending with a guy telling the rapper “You said – now I quote – if they kill me, I want the people to know the real story”.
The film is set to hit the us theaters on June 16, on what would have been Shakur’s 46th birthday.
