2017 Movies: Little Evil (Adam Scott, Evangeline Lilly)
Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming horror comedy Little Evil, from the director of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, Eli Craig.
The film follows Gary, a recently married man who begins to fear that his six-year-old stepson is a Satan’s son. The cast Adam Scott as Gary, Evangeline Lilly as his wife, Samantha, Owen Atlas as his stepson, Clancy Brown, Donald Faison, Tyler Labine, Bridget Everett, and Chris D’Elia.
The trailer begins with Scott’s character talking, in front of a support group, about the trouble he’s having bonding with his stepson, Lucas, who never looks him in the eye, never talks much, except when he yells at him to get out of his room, using a weirdo puppet. “I get this sense that he’s…” – Gary says, without adding anything else, which does one of the listeners for him: “that he’s evil incarnated?”. “Yeah.” – Gary whispers. He then learns that Lucas was conceived with a member of a cult and starts to believe that he is “a child risen up from Hell to rule mankind and to bring on the end of the world”. The boy is described by another character as, played by Bridget Everett, “top of the dick chain” in terms of behavior.
The film is set to be released this fall, on September 1.
