2017 Movies: Heartstone (Trailer Song)
The trailer for Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson’s coming-of-age drama film Heartstone has been released.
Set in a remote fishing village in Iceland, the film revolves around two teenage boys, Thor and Christian, who experience a turbulent summer as one tries to win the heart of a girl while the other discovers new feelings toward his best friend. According to a statement made by the director, “The core of the film is a strong, beautiful friendship between two boys, and how their environment and inner conflict drive them apart, before the bond they share manages to reunite them again”.
The cast includes Baldur Einarsson, Blær Hinriksson, Diljá Valsdóttir, Katla Njálsdóttir, and others.
The song used in the trailer is “Lighthouse” by Canadian singer-songwriter Patrick Watson, from the 2012 album Adventures in Your Own Backyard, which was also featured in the TV shows American Idol, Haven and The Blacklist.
